FitFlops Review - Build Muscle While You Walk
FitFlops Review: Overview
London, UK based FitFlop has put a new spin on walking with its new footwear called FitFlops. FitFlops are biomechanically designed sandals available for both men and woman that are geared towards toning the legs, thighs, butt, and calves during your average everyday walk. Not to mention the extra calories they can burn. Although FitFlops were on Oprah’s list of favorite things for summer, there are a few things you need to know about these exercise shoes before you buy.
How Does the FitFlops Work?
The most obvious feature of the FitFlop is the Micro-Wobble board mid-section which is designed to require 15% more energy to walk. The firmer toe area of the shoe allows for a faster push off for maintaining a steady speed of walking. The cushioned heel is responsible for absorbing more shock than your everyday footwear. The sandal looks like a cross between a tennis shoe and flip flop. It’s important to note that there is a delayed muscle response to wearing the FitFlops. It’s best to gradually start using them for short periods at a time to determine your tolerance and soreness levels after use.
Pros and Cons to Consider
- Enhances calorie burning and muscle toning while walking
- Oprah’s pick for favorite things for summer
- Should not be worn for extended periods during initial use.
- May not be suitable for everyone including those who rely on orthotic support
- Not suitable for hiking or hill walking.
What styles are available?
There is not a shortage of options available. They have different styles including the Isos, Walkstar II, Electra, and more. The colors also include black, silver, brown, gold and more. So if your looking for size 4 fringe white it’s very likely your taste can be satisfied.
Where to buy
FitFlops can be purchased through various online retailers. You may be able to find cheap FitFlops at amazon.com.
Most of the testimonials online were focused on comfort with a lot of people complimenting FitFlops ability to eliminate chronic back pain by correcting posture. Many also felt relief from foot and leg aches. However, there were not many testimonials at all that commented on FitFlops ability to actually tone the legs and burn the extra calories.
There is no question that many will find FitFlops extremely comfortable but by no means is it a valid replacement for exercise, however, this could be the beginning of fitness geared footwear that will have many motivated to walk that extra mile. Click here to get a free pair of FitFlops.
