FBF Overview

The Fat Burning Furnace diet is a 161 page eBook created by Rob Poulos that started in 2006. Rob is a former overweight person who developed the strategies to lose weight offered in his eBook while trying to lose weight himself. According to Rob, much of the information currently available on weight loss and exercise is deceptive. Instead, his eBook offers easy to follow advice on turning your body into an efficient fat burning system, thereby making you lose unwanted fat and build muscle much faster than you would on other methods.

Cons

  • Only 15 minutes of exercise for 2 to 3 times a week is recommended. Most experts recommend exercise for 30 minutes to one hour for 3 to 5 times a week at minimum.

How Does Fat Burning Furnace Really Work?

The eBook contains over 100 pages of information on losing weight the right way. Several free bonuses are also provided. With the Fat Burning Furnace, dieters are taught to do high intensity resistance training for a 15 minute period to lose weight. They are also taught to eat satisfying food items that keep them from getting hungry. Instead of burning fat, the program focuses on burning carbohydrates, thereby encouraging your body to naturally burn stored fat to replace the carbohydrates lost. Step-by-step guidance teaches you how to maximize your results in the smallest amount of time.

Dietitian's Notes

Dietitian ReviewedMy initial thought was the program was “too good to be true”.  It was a shock to read the program guarantees to help people lose 26 pounds in 49 days.  There is no possible way someone can make that type of guarantee and honor it.  This is another diet that works only because of calorie restrictions and exercise, rather than some secret weight loss discovery.

I disagree with the FBF’s take on the “conspiracy” that the diet industry is trying to keep people over weight.  Eating too much and not exercising enough is the real reason obesity exists. Rob’s five "truths" are bizarre as well, ranging from the obvious "boxed food diets are expensive" to the false "cardio exercise is the worst way to lose weight".

Exercise

Although one of our cons about this diet is that it requires a home gym or access to a gym in order to perform most of the exercises, there are plenty of resistance exercises you can do to get started and work your way up to a "gym membership".

For those that have access to equipment here is a short list of exercises you can expect: Squats, Bent Over Rows, Pull ups, Overhead press, Dips, Shoulder Shrugs, Bent Arm Flies, Tricep pull down, and MUCH MUCH more... The ebook goes into detail on how to do these exercise properly.

The idea is to do high intensity workouts no more than 2 to 3 times per week to allow your body time to recover. For those without gym equipment, there are several recommendations on what exercises you can do from home without equipment on page 92.

Eating and Meal Plans

FBF has over 50 pages dedicated to eating, planning, and understanding what foods will give you the best results. Conclusion

Rob PoulosEven though the diet makes exaggerated claims, it is not a scam or gimmick, nor does it have any snopes associated with it. The Fat Burning Furnace diet does contain some legitimate information that almost anyone can use such as: restrictions in eating tend to be hard to follow, fad diets are a joke and that most people who follow these methods end up regaining all the weight they lose. It also gives equal attention to exercising and eating real foods to lose weight. Sample meal plans, free recipes online and diet progress trackers that can be printed are also effective weight loss tools. Truth is, although the Fat Burning Furnace may contain some unconventional methods to losing weight the information is pretty solid and most importantly will get you off the couch and making real lifestyle changes. I guess if they can get $5 off 100,000 people using the internet they make some good $$. Now why didn't I think of doing this when I won my 6 bodyshape titles!!! I wrote a book but didn't use the internet... Oh that's right Facebook wasn't around then. Darn!!

Seriously, I thought this would be this wholesome approach to gaining sensibility about nutrition. It is pages and pages and video's of how great Rob thinks he is to come to the conclusion that never seem to be any different than information found "everywhere" else on the net, in a book, on Dr. Oz. Probably a nice guy Rob is but really, charging me for standard, grade school info. that is far and few in between alot of dragged out pages of an e-book. I too cannot find where I can get that "guaranteed" refund - I call that a scam - empty promises :(

I was very motivated and followed the program for the past month. I'm very happy with the way my body feels and looks. I don't understand all the people complaining in here. Either you have the motivation to follow the diet or you don't!

I am 64 years old. 6'1'' tall lost an inch to age. I weigh 245 lbs. The problem is my breathing due to the loss of my left 1/2 lung and low energy. I understand nutrition more that the average person. The bad ankle for the Marines I can grunt through. Will this program help me get down to 200 +/- lbs with increased energy?

What I'd like to know from some of these thumbs up folks is what about inches? Weight loss isn't everything. What about clothing sizes? Also, has anyone who has used this kept the weight off - did the retraining part of this diet 'stick'?

This was the only website I could find that does not seem to be bought and commissioned by FBF. I just purchased it so will update when I have gotten started. The people who cannot figure out how to download an e-book really need some help. Thanks for the thought provoking and honest feedback

I purchased FBF in June, 2008 and followed the guidelines as written on the e-book for about 2 months with clean diets. I didn't do any cardio exercises except jumping rope a few times a week. I got married in October, 2008. When I started this program, I was really chubby. By the time I got married, I became so toned and lean. I just looked perfect. Whoever says this program is a scam, I'd like to ask them whether they actually tried this.

This is the worst, stupidest approach to sell their "strategy." What the hell are they droning on about? So repetitive, and annoying. They are not going to really succeed all that much with this redundant boring presentation. And there's no way you can lose fat in just 45 minutes a week. If you do it too fast, you'll have all this extra skin. What dummies.

Rob is a salesman. Seriously, if you have to sit through minutes and minutes of a cheesy testimonial before he tells you something useful, it can't be good. That's just a pitch and a bad one at that. I'm surprised more people don't click off out of boredom. Plus, trying to leave the site isn't easy. He tries to lure you back in with a "free gift." Some of the tips might work, but it's not secret to weight loss.

If you go onto the internet and do your own research, you can find the right foods to eat to burn off the fat and the right exercise as well. you can also go to exercise place an a trainer will do your body weight measurement and show you the right exercise to do and set you up with a diet plan to loe weight and them you can decide if tou want to hire this trainer or not, most places off a free session and this is all included..all you have to do is follow what the trainer showed you and your good to go. it is always beter to do your workout in the morning because you lose more weight vs doing exercise at night.

SCAM! This is just like P90X weight loss program. Basically, you need to watch what you eat(mostly fresh fruits & vegetables, some seeds & nuts) & you should exercise regularly. Stop going to fast food restaurants or buying already prepared food items. You are what you eat, so shouldn't you KNOW what you just ate?!

I didn't have any problems ordering. As soon as I submitted it I got an email from ClickBank Customer Support and it had all of my download details. I think the Fat Burning Furnace book was great, although it could have been a little more affordable. Either way, I'm seeing results and losing weight so I'm a happy gal!!

Hello, DO NOT believe this. The whole thing is a scam… I did pay for the 21-days risk free trial offer (it’s fear to mention that I could not find anywhere where to call or e-mail to cancel it before the 21 day period, either way I thought it was my mistake not finding it and wnated to give it a shot) and it send me to these series of other ‘offers’ and after I click ‘NO THANKS’ to each and every one of them I thought it would lead me to the ‘downloading page’ but it DID NOT, instead it showed me a ‘transaction complete’ page but it did not give me anything… so… what did I actually paid for? just for the ‘right’ to get all these other ANNOYING offers??? That’s just not right!
